Dennis Lavelle
In my early career, after graduating from Queens' College Cambridge, I
taught mathematics in secondary schools and sixth form
colleges.
I completed 16 years as Principal of Winstanley College, a highly
successful sixth form
college in Lancashire, and in 1997 I began my second career in training
& consultancy. I became a lead trainer at Manchester
University's
Centre for Educational Leadership and also a registered consultant at
the National College of School Leadership in Nottingham. I was a
"trainer of trainers" at Hay Group's Education Division and am
currently a licensed facilitator for the Emotional Intelligence
programme. In addition to my own work in schools and colleges the
national programmes I have facilitated include:
- National Professional
Qualification for Headship
- Leadership Programme for
Serving Headteachers
- Head for the Future
- Leading from the Middle
- Further Education Senior
Management Team Programme.
